“‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ ” (Isaiah 41:10, NASB95)
There are times that I have trouble sleeping at night. I go to bed and wake up anxious and concerned. There are people that I love and care for who are hurting. There are people in my life that need to be confronted with the truth. Heck, I need to be confronted with the truth. Then, as I open up my Bible in the morning I am reminded of this verse. What a wonderful message of hope from God Himself. “Do not fear, for I am with you…” That is good news. That is great news.
We do not need to be anxious because Almighty God is with us. He will be our help and strength every time we have need. He will never leave us or forsake us. We need to always remember that we are never alone. We may think we are out on a limb by ourselves, but that is never the case. God would never allow that to be. Jesus told His disciples just before ascending into Heaven, “Lo, I am with you always; even unto the end of the age.” Remember He is the Good Shepherd. He doesn’t just have our backs, but He goes before us into these troubled times. It is important that we allow Him to take the lead and simply follow.
Are you anxious and troubled today? Read the verse above one more time. That is God Himself talking to you. Open your eyes of faith and be certain that God loves you, and that He upholds you with His mighty right hand.
Peace!
