“How lovely on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace And brings good news of happiness, Who announces salvation, And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7, NASB95)

Quoted by the Apostle Paul in Romans 10:15, this verse is ascribed to those who share the message of God’s grace with the world around them. This verse is for you today. I know you may think that your message isn’t as polished as it should be and that your delivery is a bit shaky, but God is able to use your faithfulness to do His work. As you live out your Christian life in this world, you offer yourself up as a witness to others who do not know God. Just living out your faith makes you a messenger of good news. It is the combination of your words and your actions that causes people to see God’s truths. You are letting the world around you know that “your God reigns!”

There can’t be anything more beautiful in all the world than to bring God glory by sharing who He is with someone who doesn’t know Him. The Lord yearns to be introduced, and reintroduced, with His creation. What an honor that He chooses to use us to share that message in a genuine and real way. Indeed, the feet of those who share the joy and hope they have in Christ are beautiful. Beautiful, because we are offering ourselves as living sacrifices to the One who has redeemed and saved us.  Beautiful because there is nothing in this world more significant than bringing a lost sheep back into the fold by introducing them to the Good Shepherd.
