01/07/22 Daily Devotion – What is your testimony?

“I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us — yes, the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.” — Isaiah 63:7 (NIV)

This verse should serve as the definition of what it means to be a witness for Jesus. Spreading the Good News isn’t about formulas and strategies. It isn’t about memorized steps and perfect execution. It is simply telling your friends and family about the kindnesses of the Lord. It is sharing with the world around you the many good things He has done for you and for your family. You see, the world wants to know that there is a God out there who can, and will, meet them in their very real world with love, forgiveness, compassion, and hope. The good news is that is exactly the God we have.

Think for a moment about the many times in your life that God has shown you His kindness and grace. Seriously stop and begin to recall the times that God has intervened in your life with love and compassion right when you needed it. Friends, that is your witness. That is your testimony. I guarantee that God is placing people into your life right now who simply need to know that God really touched your life in those ways.

Look around at the people that God is currently putting in your life. Pick 1-3 of them and pray specifically that God would open the door of opportunity so that you can share your testimony. It is that simple.

Peace!
