“I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly.” — Psalm 40:10 (NIV)

The truth is meant to be communicated and shared. God’s truth is not something to be concealed and hidden. It is to be proclaimed and declared with the loudest voice possible. I am not sure about you, but I often remain silent when I know the truth. Maybe I am afraid of offending someone. Maybe I am not sure whether I will communicate the truth as clearly as I should. I don’t know what has held me back. I just know that I have held back. But not anymore!

It is time for me (the Christian Church) to speak the truth as clearly and loudly as I (we) can. There are people out there in the world who are living lost lives. They have no self-worth or self-esteem. They feel that they don’t have any purpose or meaning in their lives. They are living a lie. We need to speak of our faith and our salvation so that they can experience the same meaning and worth that we feel today. They need to know that they are deeply loved by their Creator — so much so, that He found a way to redeem and save them from their broken, dark, and lost reality.

We have the Spirit of God living within our hearts, minds, and souls. He assures us of our purpose and meaning. He assures us that the truth actually does set us free.

Let’s be bold and speak loudly of God’s truth today.
